Christmas. what a wonderful time of year
But it can also be a dark and lonely time
Well, it can feel just like any other day
And if you don't spend it with those you truly love
So this is a prayer for the lonely
Especially those children all around the world
Whose hearts have been torn apart this year. There's a cry I can't ignore
So pardon my tears, things are different this year
I've thrown out my list and instead of a wish
That wherever you are may the bright morning star
I'm praying this Christmas prayer Lead you to someone who cares.

And I think about the things she's had to see
Then someone hits the remote and I see the sad dark eyes
Man I miss those simple black and white days
Of a young girl on the other side of the world Things my children can't even imagine.
